We and Birds

Would that you and me were birds !
Would  fly as far as the sky goes
Stretching wings vast like dreams !
But we've no wings , we're no birds
So let's just look at the sky together

Where we might have been flying
Let me smile and whisper this to you
Birds can't hold each other's hands !
